The Cupid’s Curse Pocket FM series is the platform’s most adult English romance of the big five: 941 episodes, more than 145 million plays and a 4.7 average from 17,230 ratings, carrying an “A” age rating rather than the 16+ most of the platform’s hits use. It is finished — the record marks it complete, with nothing added since 1 July 2023. Every figure here was read from the official Pocket FM show page on 21 September 2026.
If Pocket FM is new to you: it is an audio-series app rather than a podcast feed or an audiobook store. Shows are told in short episodes — around ten minutes here — with a full voice cast and sound design, and they run for hundreds or thousands of episodes. It is free to start: the first 19 episodes are unlocked at no cost, plus one free episode a day after that. The last section explains the rest.

What the story is about, without spoilers
Pocket FM’s description is short and gives you the whole setup. After a drunken one-night stand, Emma Green wakes up naked in a stranger’s bed. The stranger turns out to be Robert Erickson — a ruthless, narcissistic businessman who becomes obsessed with her. And then the important line, the one that tells you this is not a simple pursuit story: Robert is not the only one with a shadowed past, and Emma is not someone to be taken lightly.
That is all Pocket FM says about the plot, and it is worth being straight about why. Unlike its other big English shows, this one has no “about this show” section, no synopsis block and no on-page FAQ — just that single paragraph. There is no official summary of the arcs and no official character list beyond the two names above. Anything elsewhere claiming to lay out the full plot is somebody’s reconstruction, not Pocket FM’s.
What you can read is the episode list, and the early titles sketch the shape: “E1. Let You Have a Condition”, “E3. Think He Is a Pervert”, “E5. Underestimate Her”, “E6. Uncertified Cohabitation” and “E8. Bite Back”. A condition attached to something, a living arrangement nobody has signed for, and a woman hitting back by episode eight. Pocket FM’s own tags point the same way: pretend relationship, forced proximity, family secrets, an illegitimate heir, healing from trauma, a possessive male lead.

Episode 1 of Cupid’s Curse (about 35 minutes) is embedded below so you can hear how Emma and Robert’s story opens. To follow the rest of the series, use the official Pocket FM app.
Where the story stands
The show launched on Pocket FM on 24 March 2022 and the last episode was added on 1 July 2023. The record marks it complete, so 941 is final. It is the shortest of Pocket FM’s headline English series, and the most realistic one to actually finish.
How Cupid’s Curse ends
Spoilers ahead. One thing to know first: the show’s page introduces Emma Green and Robert Erickson, but Cupid’s Curse is built as several linked stories that flow into one another, and the final story, ending near episode 941, follows a later couple, Penelope and Trevor. Just as Penelope brings peace to the family, their young son Lucas is kidnapped. The ransom demand comes from a man Trevor recognises from an old family photo: Ethan. Trevor sets a trap of his own, lets Ethan lead him to an abandoned factory, and there says the thing he has carried for a lifetime. Ethan is not his uncle but his true father, born of an old crime against Trevor’s mother, and Trevor has come to sever that blood tie for good.
The confession breaks Ethan. In a last act of ruined conscience he shoves his son to safety an instant before the bomb he planted destroys the factory, killing himself. Trevor survives but falls into a coma for about four months, and Penelope quietly holds the family and the company together, refusing to believe he is gone. Then, on an ordinary afternoon, their son calls out that Daddy’s eyes are open; Trevor has come back. Months later, in spring sunlight at the family cemetery, with Selma newly pregnant and old friend Millie finally married, Trevor watches Penelope walk toward him and knows the rest of his life will be perfect.
Main characters
- Emma Green — the lead. Pocket FM gives her no biography beyond the opening, but makes one thing explicit: she has a past of her own and is not a passive target.
- Robert Erickson — the businessman from that first morning, described by Pocket FM as ruthless, narcissistic and obsessed with her, and carrying his own shadowed history.
Those are the only two characters Pocket FM names, so they are the only two we list. The cast section is just as bare: one credit, given simply as “Emma”, with the character field blank, so there is no published answer to who voices whom. The writing credit reads “Damon and 1 more”.
How many episodes, and how long it really takes
941 episodes, final. The running time Pocket FM stores works out to roughly 162 hours — about ten minutes an episode on average, though the early ones vary from under nine minutes to nearly sixteen. At an hour a day that is a five-month listen, half the commitment of the platform’s longest English shows.
A small oddity you will notice in the app: Pocket FM’s numbering slips at episode four, titled “Ep 4 – Eat a Meal with Him” while everything around it uses the “E4.” style. It is cosmetic, but it makes people think they have found a gap. They have not — the run is continuous from 1 to 941.
Is it worth your time? An honest take
The case for it is length and consistency. 4.7 across 17,230 ratings on a finished 941-episode run is a solid score, 145 million plays is a real audience, and by Pocket FM standards this is a series you could actually get to the end of. If the tropes on the page — forced proximity, a pretend relationship, a possessive lead, buried family secrets — are the ones you look for, this is a concentrated dose.
The case against is mostly about what you are told before you start. This is the thinnest listing of Pocket FM’s major English shows: one paragraph, two named characters, no arc summary, no FAQ. You are going in nearly blind. The “A” rating is the strictest of the group, so it is not a casual pick. And the premise — a drunken night with a man described as ruthless and obsessive — is a hard sell for some listeners however the show develops it. Nineteen free episodes is enough to find out whether it is for you.
Cupid’s Curse characters: from Emma and Robert to Penelope and Trevor (spoilers)
Spoilers for the later stories. The most common confusion with this show is that the couple on the poster is not the couple at the finale. Pocket FM’s page names only Emma Green and Robert Erickson; everyone else below comes from the final episodes summarised in the ending section above. Here is who is who, using only those facts:
- Emma Green and Robert Erickson — the opening couple. She wakes up in his bed after a drunken night; he is the ruthless, obsessive businessman, and both have a past.
- Penelope and Trevor — the couple at the centre of the final story, which ends near episode 941. By then Penelope has brought peace to the family.
- Lucas — Penelope and Trevor’s young son, whose kidnapping sets off the finale.
- Ethan — the kidnapper, recognised by Trevor from an old family photo. Trevor reveals that Ethan is not his uncle but his true father. Ethan pushes Trevor to safety before his own bomb destroys the factory, and dies.
- Selma — newly pregnant in the closing spring scene.
- Millie — an old friend who is finally married by the end.
What we cannot tell you is exactly where one linked story hands over to the next. Pocket FM does not publish arc boundaries for this show, and we have not confirmed which episodes the middle stories cover, so we are not guessing at those hand-over points. If you want to follow one couple only, start at episode 1 for Emma and Robert; the finale belongs to Penelope and Trevor.
Shows like Cupid’s Curse on Pocket FM
Cupid’s Curse is a finished, adult-rated romance built on forced proximity, a pretend relationship, a possessive lead and family secrets. These are the closest matches we have covered, with the trope that links each one:
- The Duke’s Masked Bride (1,790 episodes, marked complete, rated A) — the contract-marriage version: a masked woman and a duke haunted by his past.
- The Alpha’s Bride (701 episodes, rated A) — the possessive-lead version in werewolf form, with Alpha Damon of the Dark Howlers. Its page contradicts itself on whether it is finished.
- The Royal Accident (1,080 episodes, still ongoing, rated A) — the family-secret version: a single mom whose child’s father turns out to be the crown prince of Spain.
- The Billionaire’s Accidental Bride (1,565 episodes, complete, U/A 16+) — a softer-rated romance built around a payback plan.
- Saving Nora (2,332 episodes, complete, U/A 16+) — if the “she is not someone to be taken lightly” side of Emma is what you liked.
At 941 episodes Cupid’s Curse is still the shortest of these to finish, so it remains the easiest place to start if you want a complete story.
Two Emmas: Cupid’s Curse is not The Billionaire’s Accidental Bride
Both shows have a heroine called Emma, which sends a lot of searches to the wrong place. They are separate Pocket FM productions with different credits. In Cupid’s Curse, Emma Green wakes up beside Robert Erickson. In The Billionaire’s Accidental Bride, Emma is a former fashion model whose story starts with Nathan Davis cheating on her and leads to Eric Roberts. Episode numbers and recaps from one do not apply to the other.

Frequently asked questions
How many episodes does Cupid’s Curse have on Pocket FM?
941, as recorded on the official show page on 21 September 2026. The series is finished, so the number will not grow.
Is Cupid’s Curse complete?
Yes. Pocket FM’s record marks it complete and the last episode was added on 1 July 2023.
How does Cupid’s Curse end?
Cupid’s Curse is several linked stories, and its finale near episode 941 follows a later couple, Penelope and Trevor, rather than the opening pair Emma Green and Robert Erickson. Their son Lucas is kidnapped by Ethan, whom Trevor confronts in an abandoned factory and reveals to be his true father; Ethan pushes Trevor to safety before his own bomb kills him. Trevor spends about four months in a coma while Penelope holds the family and company together, then wakes, and the story ends months later in spring with Trevor watching Penelope walk toward him at the family cemetery.
Who are Emma and Robert in Cupid’s Curse?
Emma Green is the lead and Robert Erickson is the businessman she wakes up next to in episode one. They are the only two characters Pocket FM names on the page.
Is Cupid’s Curse based on a novel?
It is a licensed adaptation. Pocket FM records the original work’s name as “The Romance Of Mr. Walton” — a title it does not use anywhere in the show itself, which is why searching for it turns up so little.
What age is Cupid’s Curse suitable for?
Pocket FM gives it an “A” rating, meaning adult. That is stricter than the 16+ label on most of its big English romances, so treat it accordingly.
Is there a Cupid’s Curse season 2?
Pocket FM does not use seasons for this show. There is one continuous run of 941 episodes and no season list on the record.
Can you listen to the whole show free?
Not all 941 episodes. The first 19 are free, then one free episode a day, ad-video unlocks and coins. The next section covers each route.
Is Cupid’s Curse on YouTube?
Only Episode 1 of Cupid’s Curse is on YouTube, and that is the clip embedded above. The full series is available only on the official Pocket FM app. Any “all episodes” channels on YouTube are re-uploads rather than the complete official series.
Who are Penelope and Trevor in Cupid’s Curse?
They are the couple at the centre of the final linked story, which ends near episode 941, rather than the opening pair Emma Green and Robert Erickson. Their son Lucas is kidnapped in the finale by Ethan, who turns out to be Trevor’s true father.
Is the Emma in Cupid’s Curse the same as in The Billionaire’s Accidental Bride?
No. They are separate Pocket FM shows with different credits. Cupid’s Curse follows Emma Green and Robert Erickson; The Billionaire’s Accidental Bride follows a former fashion model named Emma, Nathan Davis and Eric Roberts.
How to listen to Cupid’s Curse free on Pocket FM
Short answer, in four steps:
- Install the Pocket FM app from Google Play or the App Store. The app itself is free.
- Search for “Cupid’s Curse” and start listening: the first 19 episodes are free, no coins needed.
- After that, one more episode unlocks free every day, or watch the ad video shown on an episode to unlock it sooner.
- The remaining episodes unlock with coins, which you can earn through in-app tasks and videos rather than only buy.
Pocket FM’s official FAQ says the app provides a selection of episodes from every audio drama at no cost, so listeners can get through a substantial part of the story without paying. Here that opening block is 19 episodes. The same FAQ adds one complimentary episode a day, provided you have listened right through what you have already unlocked.
Past that, Pocket FM lists three official ways to unlock an episode:
- Wait — every locked episode shows a countdown; when it runs out, the episode opens for free.
- Watch ad videos — the app tells you how many will unlock the next episodes, and watching costs nothing but time.
- Coins — coins unlock any locked episode. Pocket FM says you can buy them in My Store or earn them free by completing tasks and watching videos, and that credited coins never expire.
There are also promo codes, but be careful: Pocket FM’s FAQ says only that they are distributed through its network of partners, and that you should check My Store for current offers. The “free coins” coupon pages in search results are affiliate sites, not Pocket FM. The app is free to install — Android: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.radio.pocketfm · iPhone and iPad: apps.apple.com/us/app/pocket-fm-audio-dramas/id1538433480.
What is not true is that the whole series is free somewhere else. Pocket FM’s Play Store listing puts it plainly: you only pay when you exceed the free episode limit. There is no official full-series playlist outside the app, and the clip channels in search results carry promos and extracts, not 941 episodes.

Cupid’s Curse Pocket FM full episodes: where all 941 are, and how to listen free
All 941 episodes of Cupid’s Curse are on the Pocket FM app and web player, and the series is complete. Because it is an anthology of linked love stories rather than one continuous couple, you can sample it from more than one entry point: the Emma and Robert story that opens the show, or the later Penelope and Trevor arc that the finale (episode 941) belongs to. To listen free, use the app’s daily free episodes and ad-unlocked episodes, and the Episode 1 upload embedded above. The “Cupid’s Curse all episodes” links on Telegram and Dailymotion are unofficial re-uploads that come and go; if you are handed a shortened link, test it with our Link Safety Checker first.

Are the Telegram / Dailymotion ‘all episodes’ links safe?
Short answer: no. The “all episodes” Telegram channels and Dailymotion playlists that show up in search are unofficial re-uploads by fans, not Pocket FM. Episodes are usually out of order, whole stretches of the story are missing, and the channels disappear after a takedown, often right in the middle of the series. The bigger problem is safety: those pages are packed with fake download buttons, sideloaded APK files and scam ads that can install malware on your phone or lead to OTP and wallet fraud.
The safe, legal way to listen free is the official Pocket FM app: the first 19 episodes of this show are free (the number differs from show to show, so check each show’s free block in the app), one more episode unlocks free every day, and the rest can be unlocked by watching a short ad or with coins. If someone sends you a link that looks suspicious, paste it into our Link Safety Checker before you open it.
